Let’s talk about Oktane16

This year OKTA Inc's user conference Oktane was held in the beautiful Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, one of the Top 10 largest Hotels in the World owned by MGM Resorts, who also happen to be a customer of Okta.

What happens in Vegas not always stays in Vegas!

As always, this years Oktane was packed with many sessions, speakers, product demos and networking opportunities.

We headed to Oktane ready to be inspired, because when you travel a fair amount of distance, you hope for iconic experiences. Once again, we were not disappointed because Okta has delivered it all. The event was well planned and well put together with the right balance of fun, technology, pre-conference training, product innovations and practical advice via sharing real life customer stories.

In addition, this was a not to be missed opportunity to meet with leaders of increasingly mobile and cloud world and Oktane's sponsors like Amazon WS, ServiceNow, Box, Skyhigh, Netscope (to name a few).

Among the memorable highlights were keynote opening and closing presentations by Todd McKinnon, thoughts on disruptive technologies by Frederic Kerrest, security brief by David Baker and the super demo by Eric Karlinsky and Scott Schwartzhoff. Yet, my personal favourite was the announcement of the Okta API Access Management.

API Access Management for Connected Enterprises

Utilising its flexible, identity driven policy engine, Okta now provides a user-friendly console for consistent development and management of APIs without custom code. Okta API Access Management uses standard-compliant OAuth 2.0 support for any application or service and is compatible with API management solutions from Apigee and MuleSoft – to create a complete digital transformation solution for “connected enterprises’.
