Course Abstract

The ITIL® courses are designed to introduce candidates to the elementary terms and concepts of ITIL®. The IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) contains a comprehensive description of the processes involved in managing IT infrastructures. The ITIL® Foundation course introduces you to the most elementary terms and concepts of ITIL®. You are taught the importance of a systematic approach to management by means of a presentation and an enlightening IT infrastructure simulation. A process-like approach to the business organization is used to convey the material.
The ITIL® management model provides insight into the coherence and relationships of identified processes. In addition, you are introduced to a series of basic terms and concepts used to provide substance to these processes. All of this will give you the information you need to deal with the changes that result from an implementation of ITIL® in an organization.
The Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is an introductory certification to the understanding of ITIL®, the most widely accepted framework and standard of IT Infrastructure Management in the world. The purpose of the Foundation Certification is to establish that an individual has a solid understanding of ITIL®. This course, combined with additional experience, contributes to the students' capacity to achieve ITIL® Foundation Certification.
This class does not include the Airport Simulation - BSM International, an exciting practical demonstration of the effectiveness of the ITIL® concepts. Airport Simulation-BSM International.
Class price includes certification testing which will be completed during class.
